Chicken Soup Recipe
For days you just want a warm hug, this recipe is perfect.
Slow cooking meat with the bone in (and skin) is also an excellent source of nutrition for expecting and new moms. One amino acid to highlight is glycine. Glycine is a building block of collagen which helps grow baby’s DNA and her cardiovascular system. For moms, it prevents stretch marks and pre-eclampsia plus in postpartum it aids healing. Did we mention this soup is easy and yummy?
Wash your hands
Chop 1 cup carrots, 1 cup celery, 1 yellow onion and 1 bunch curly parsley
Add to slow cooker with 1 package of bone-in chicken thighs
Add 2 boxes of low sodium chicken broth
Cook on low for 6 hours on the slow cooker mode
Pull out bones and shred chicken with a fork. Enjoy!
