YUMMY FOOD FOR THE WHOLE FAMILY
There are tons of hummus recipes out there but this is the one Dr. Maria’s Arabic husband makes that is traditional. It can’t be beat!
Chickpeas are a great source of protein for kids. Hummus is great for dipping or as a spread. If you omit the salt in this recipe it is a great baby food. Best of all you can involve your kids! Have them help you measure out, pour in, and press buttons.
Wash your hands
Add 1 can of chickpeas (liquid drained) to food processor and puree
Add 1/3 cup tahini to food processor and puree
Add 2 cloves chopped garlic and puree
Add juice from 1 lemon and 1 tsp salt and puree
Serve with your favorite crunchy snack like veggies, plantain chips, etc
