Smashed Cucumber Recipe
Between us adults, this recipe is wonderful because it exposes your little one to cucumbers in new and different ways. This is a proven strategy to get kids to try new things. The smashing also feels therapeutic.
For all new foods and foods your kid may not love (yet) exposure is key. Touching, chopping, smashing all count.
Warning: recipe is delicious and very easy!
Wash your hands with soap and water
Zebra-peel 8 mini cucumbers and cut in small pieces.
Put cucumbers in a bag and smash responsibly
Whisk 2 tsp sugar, 1 tsp salt, 1 ½ tbsp rice vinegar, 2 tsp sesame oil and 2 tsp soy sauce
Combine cucumbers and sauce
Serve with sesame seed sprinkles
